Bio

Dr. Derek S. Farmen obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Health Science from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside and graduated Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He furthered his education through the Academy of Chiropractic and Cleveland University – Kansas City, receiving credentials in various spinal-related topics, including Spinal Biomechanical Engineering and MRI spine interpretation. He is completing Fellowship Training in Spinal Biomechanics & Trauma to become a Spine Management Physician™.

Dr. Farmen holds memberships with The National Spine Management Group, North Carolina Chiropractic Association, and The American Chiropractic Association. This enables him to offer the latest techniques based on peer-reviewed research and collaborate with medical specialists to deliver the best care.

He uses a combination of techniques, including Thompson, SOT, Diversified, Activator, Arthrostim, Cox Flexion/Distraction, and McKinsey for injury and maintenance care. For spinal correction, he utilizes techniques from Pettibon Rehabilitation and Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) to correct and stabilize abnormal spinal curvatures and postures.
