What to Expect on Your First Visit
At CSMC, your first visit will include a consultation and physical exam with a highly qualified doctor in order to determine which tissue/structure is causing your pain, how severe the condition is, what is causing the problem, and any contributing factors that may slow down or prevent proper healing.
Our doctors take the time to listen to your concerns and understand the impact your symptoms are having on your quality of life. This involves discussing your symptoms, when they are at their worst, what your symptoms are preventing you from performing/enjoying and putting together a set of treatment goals you would like to accomplish (examples: picking up kids or sleeping without pain). It is important to bring any previous medical notes or images for the doctor to review and take into consideration for your case.
- Neurological Evaluation
- Orthopedic Testing
- Postural Assessment
- Chiropractic Evaluation
- Range of Motion Measurements with EMG (When Necessary)
- Referral to Imaging/Advanced Diagnostic Testing (When Necessary)
- Radiographic Biomechanical Analysis (When Necessary)
These tests may aggravate your symptoms, so let your doctor know what you are feeling.
For imaging and additional testing, CSMC coordinates referrals to specialty radiologists as needed.
Depending on the complexity and severity of your condition, your doctor may or may not administer an adjustment on the first visit.
If your doctor determines more time or testing is needed to review your case and determine your care plan prior to administering your first adjustment, other treatments may be recommended to try to reduce your symptoms prior to leaving.
A brief description of what your doctor suspects is the problem will be given to you before you leave the office, however this may change following review of your entire case and/or additional tests such as X-Ray or MRI.
What to Expect on Your Second Visit
Your second visit will be to discuss exam findings, treatment options, and cost of recommended care. Our office will work with you to create a plan that best meets your needs. We accept most major insurances and payment methods (Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay, Apple Pay). For extensive care needs, or out of network services, we offer cash discounts and payment strategies to stay within your budget.
